The general public often associates UFOs with the United States or the West, partly due to a historical imbalance in communication access between Western and Southern countries.

There is a growing global awareness of UFOs, from Japan, where a bipartisan group of parliamentarians studies the issue from a national security perspective, to Brazil, where the profession of ufologist is now recognized by the Ministry of Labor.

The creation of the UAP Africa network in November 2023 supports this global trend by producing podcasts focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, sharing recent testimonies, and offering African perspectives on non-human intelligences, especially on the website uapafrique.com.

Two recent books have brought the African continent into the global ufology scene: 'The UFO Question in Central Africa (Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo)' by Franco-Gabonese author-artist Jann Halexander, and 'UFOs in Africa (When Extraterrestrials Visit the African Sky)' by Togolese author Samson Mawulolo Ahlijah, who represents UAP Africa in Togo.

The exhibition highlights the place of UFOs in African culture and history through artworks, maps, photographs, videos, and articles, catering to experts, enthusiasts, and novices. The goal is not to mystify but to inform, in a civic approach considering the UFO topic as crucial as AI development, climate adaptation, or conflict resolution, as it concerns the future of humanity.
